About the Role
Deal Advisory
Act as a key player in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from both private equity and strategic corporate buyers.
- Analyze historical financial statements and evaluate operational trends to identify sustainable earnings for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, high-technology, and healthcare.
- Lead “separate and sell” as well as “buy and integrate” type of consulting engagements. These projects are some of our favorites! They can cover not just accounting but also IT and operational aspects of a transaction.
- Coordinate with engagement team and management regarding client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines.
- Effectively write and communicate engagement reports and deliverables to client management.
Outsourced Accounting
Part of our practice includes providing outsourced accounting services. We typically provide these services in one of the following situations:
- Ahead of an M&A transaction, private placement or IPO with the intent of professionalizing the accounting department, separating a division, preparing for sell side Quality of Earnings or investment banker’s process.
- Post close, we provide accounting services to establish policies and procedures that need to be newly created along with the new entity.
Financial Statement Assurance
- Lead financial statement audit and review engagements. While our focus is on transactions, several of our clients continue to engage us post-close for their financial statement assurance needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA with 5+years of audit or transaction advisory experience required
- Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong current knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting
- Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel out-of-town to clients as required
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause determination skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Strong project management with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a team-oriented environment
- Action-oriented, decisive approach to work required, with the willingness to take a hands-on role to ensure the deliverables are met on time
